Developing and Promoting the use of Free Software ,Open Source ,GNU/Linux and BSD in Yemen and the Arab World

About YFOSA:

The Yemeni GNU/Linux Association, also known as the "Arabian Linuxer" was our starting point in gathering enthusiasts and professionals around GNU/Linux, organized in Sana'a, Yemen in 1999. The year 2000 marks as the establishment date of the Yemeni Free Software & Open Source Association. Apart from free software and open source, within the Association we work on promoting GNU/Linux, Free BSD, Open BSD and NetBSD.

The Name [YFOSA] was suggested to us by Richard Stallman, founder of The Free Software Foundation
